      <link>https://www.peren-revues.fr/annales-sgn/253</link>
Geothermal energy assisted by heat pump is an undeniable asset for achieving the objectives set by the “loi de Transition Energétique”. Indeed, it is a renewable, decarbonized and local energy, which is constant throughout the year, and having a low greenhouse gas emission power. The numerous geothermal processes also make it possible to sweep a wide range of power and thus meet needs ranging from a village hall to a hospital center. The two main processes for extracting energy from the basement are the aquifer and vertical probes. Through two examples of installations in Hauts-de-France, it appears that this energy can meet the heating and cooling - air conditioning needs of buildings of different sizes. Regional geological and hydrogeological contexts allow Hauts-de-France to present a relatively significant potential through both main aquifers that are the Upper Senonian-Turonian chalk and Carboniferous limestone. Some studies make it possible to investigate the soil up to about 200 meters deep and, thus, participate in the enrichment of regional geological knowledge. </description>
