      <title>Le projet Plin-édit : étapes et réflexions</title>
      <link>https://www.peren-revues.fr/annales-sgn/2456</link>
Our text will attempt to set out as many aspects as possible (in particular those that have proved problematic) of the multi-disciplinary “Plin-édit” research program (2022-2023), which aimed to digitize a tiny part of the manuscript collection of the naturalist Georges Cuvier – a part of which concerned a project to republish, during the 1820s, the Pliny the Elder’s Histoire Naturelle. It was the subject of a presentation at the CollEx-Persée CoESciTer project study day on 28 March 2024 in Lille – a project run by the UMR EEP and the Centre François Viète, in partnership with the SGN (Société Géologique du Nord), the SGF (Société Géologique de France), Cofrhigéo (Comité français d'histoire de la géologie), the MNHN (Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle) and the Institut de France (https://jecoesciter.sciencesconf.org/). After having stated the objectives, the difficulties and also the joys of this collective project, we will conclude by insisting on the need for “high-intensity” human work in all manuscript archive digitization projects. </description>

<title>Developing digital resources from the work of Charles Darwin</title>
      <link>https://www.peren-revues.fr/annales-sgn/2439</link>
<description>The Darwin Archive at Cambridge University Library is a large collection containing thousands of manuscripts, books, and photographs documenting the life and work of the naturalist Charles Darwin. Beginning in 1974, several projects have been created to make the content of the Darwin Archive available to the public, first in print form and more recently in multiple websites focusing on different types of documents in the Archive. This article will describe the digital resources that make available different aspects of the Darwin Archive, from the twentieth century Darwin Correspondence Project to the recent Epsilon.ac.uk and explain the relationships between them.
