      <link>https://www.peren-revues.fr/cahiersmargueriteduras/900</link>
For Emily L. (1987), the aim is to study the vocal style that Duras adopted in the early 1980s, which emerged as one of the major features of her “écriture courante”. Identifying the “vocal model” followed by this work implies relating it to her poetic (the “specular autofiction” in which the fable proceeds from the reflexive presence of an auctorial figure) and stylistic (the dominant indirect discourse) choices. While one of the features of Marguerite Duras’s vocality refers to the looseness and ruptures of a spoken language that wanted to “laisser tout dans l’état de l’apparition”, in Emily L. there remain the accents of a “beautiful language”, more poetic than classical. </description>
