      <title>Traces liminaires d’une impudence stylistique</title>
      <link>https://www.peren-revues.fr/cahiersmargueriteduras/902</link>
Translation is always an exercise of analysis and investigation that allows to identify stylistic features. Thanks to a careful and critical study of Les Impudents in order to produce its first Italian version (Feltrinelli, 2024), several features were identified and reproduced: the elliptical writing style and a series of descriptive and narrative incongruities that can be described as disconcerting. Through a contrastive analysis of the source text with its English translation, The Impudent Ones (trans. by Kelsey L. Haskett, The New Press, 2021) and the Italian translation, Gli impudenti (trans. by Letizia Imola, Feltrinelli, 2024), we will travel back through Duras’ writing to indicate the early traces of a kind of stylistic impudence that later led Duras to create a poetic prose of her own. </description>
