      <link>https://www.peren-revues.fr/cahiersmargueriteduras/487</link>
Published in 1985, La Douleur was brought to the stage in 2008 by French actress Dominique Blanc, under the watchful eye of French director Patrice Chéreau and choreographer Thierry Thieû-Niang. Fourteen years later, the actress is reviving this pared-down, one-woman show, with the complicity of the choreographer, as a tribute to the memory and work of Chéreau, who passed away in 2013. How did this project come about, and what are the challenges posed by a type of theater designed to be “read” rather than “performed”? Beyond the homage to Patrice Chéreau, why should this creation be revived in 2022? These are the three highlights of our article. </description>
