      <title>Marguerite Duras et l’Indochine</title>
      <link>https://www.peren-revues.fr/cahiersmargueriteduras/312</link>
Marguerite Duras committed herself to numerous causes she felt were just, such as the Algerian War of Independence. But she remained officially silent on another conflict: the successive wars in Vietnam. The fact that she was born there and lived there throughout her childhood and adolescence must have been one of the reasons for this, and her pro-Algerian activism was perhaps a way for her to overcome this silence. </description>
