      <link>https://www.peren-revues.fr/demeter/1839</link>
The recent history of the mobilization of the gaze involves both cinema and commerce. After observing three exemplary moments, three milestones (the opening credits of the Marx Brothers’s Big Store, the escalators in Brian de Palma’s Body Double, and a recent advertising campaign for the Samsung Galaxy S4), the article focuses on a sequence from Harun Farocki’s film dedicated to shopping malls (The Creators of Shopping Worlds, 2001) in which the commercial implications of eye-tracking are detailed. </description>
