    <link>https://www.peren-revues.fr/demeter/395</link>
If the dancing game has always been a part of the products offered by the videogame industry, the last developments of the motion sensing technologies, especially Kinect (now integrated in the new generation of Microsoft consoles), has particularly encouraged his growing. Beyond this cyclical meeting, it appears that the points of junction between dance and videogame can be analysed by the notion of play as thought by Johan Huizinga, and as interpreted by lots of works on this most recent research topic. Under this perspective, the influence of ancient practices, unexpectedly updated by video game, can be revealed, as well as a relation to the actual and virtual worlds which reminds those created by dancing in a ritual context. The notions of agôn and avatar, which has been transposed from the antic and religious sphere toward the vocabulary of video gaming culture, can be seen as key elements to lead this analysis. </description>
