Representing mandala's figure in the contemporary era questions its durability. Indeed, the mandalas persists, plastically, in a paradoxical way; they are in fact initially doomed to destruction. Also, we will question the contemporary spaces in which the mandala has been honored, and will try to understand how it has or has not found a legitimate place in these places. First of all, the exhibitions in museum spaces allowed the visibility of the mandala in the contemporary artistic place. Thus, how to understand the essence of the mandala in a place ignoring its initiatory ritual? Then, we will see the search for the recreation of a specific place to the sacredness of the mandala, which allows the visitor a completely different approach, which is an attempt to legitimize the mandala's exhibition.

This article tells about the becoming of some of the most emblematic and renowned “TV puppets” of the 20th century in France, Great Britain, the United States and the Netherlands, and focuses more specifically on the question of their conservation within museum institutions according to their manipulation techniques, namely ventriloquist puppets, string puppets, muppets and puppets used in stop‑motion. This text also questions the necessity or not of collecting and patrimonializing objects that have certainly aroused popular support thanks to the broadcasting by mass media of programs featuring them, but whose conservation may prove to be frivolous and useless, all the more so since it is now possible to consult the audiovisual archives of these programs. However, these television puppets are of considerable patrimonial and scientific interest if we consider the opinion of several museum institutions. Integrating them into collections does not seem so far-fetched after all.

We have gone from a hesitant time to keeping the ballet sets painted by Picasso for Parade to one in which, for example, four hundred stage objects that belonged to the Rolling Stones are on display unabated. Based on this observation, this article inscribes the reflection on the conservation of objects within the more general process of extending the notion of heritage which took place in the twentieth century. Much commented, this “patrimonial inflation” reactivates here the debate on the relativism between cultures but also on the leveling of values. Based on the thought of Claude Lévi-Strauss, the author returns to the process of integrating cultural creations into a globalized heritage (unesco: 1972). Often presented as a "source of inspiration and creation" for generations to come, it is nonetheless possible to see it as a marker of entropy and a sign of crisis in Western civilization. The ambiguities at the heart of the prescriptions formulated by international institutions are questioned in order to reconnect with a forward-looking idea of heritage, history and creation.
