      <link>https://www.peren-revues.fr/demeter/99</link>
In August 1832, the father (le PÈRE) of the Saint-Simonians, Prosper Enfantin, facing the court, which judging him for immoralism, used an unprecedented defense articulated only by his looks, his silences, his gestures. This corpeaugraphie, free of all subordination to the written, aimed in particular to embody, against the institutional power, the place of freed woman who had hitherto been banned from the right to speak. By this sensitive performance, in which his body came to overcome politically the assignment to silence in an attempt to open a tangible path to emancipation, Enfantin not only offered women the space of a utopia which they immediately seized on with the creation of La Femme libre, the first feminist newspaper, but also a space open to the rehabilitation of the flesh as to the expression of desires and for the emergence of which artists, men with imagination, first needed to move. </description>
