      <link>https://www.peren-revues.fr/mosaique/2373</link>
The notion of “the Anthropocene” opened up a new field of reflection in ecology that closely links science and politics, in that it questions the impact of human activities on the environment. However, this notion is not neutral: it is at the heart of a whole discursive system which gives a central importance to Humanity in the history of the Earth. The aim of this article is to discuss the way in which several researchers (including Donna Haraway, Anna Tsing and Isabelle Stengers) have recently proposed other ways of telling the story of our time. Theirs propositions may be considered as a form of what Stengers calls a speculative “activism”: by changing our ways of thinking about our place on Earth, we may contribute to the rise of new ways of living in our world within the Anthropocene itself. Which means we could escape the Anthropocene “from the middle”, to use a deleuzian phrase. </description>
