      <link>https://www.peren-revues.fr/mosaique/2724</link>
Following initially the thinking of Bernard Friot, this article shows that the question of pensions is much more than a question of income distribution: through it there is a struggle to establish the genuine sense of labour. But to stop there would be to ignore the deconstructive scope of a thought that takes retirement seriously, and strives to begin with it. Secondly, following in the footsteps of Derrida, it is a question of accompanying the movement of retirement in the deconstruction of meaning as such, of the meaning of meaning; that is to say, to put into crisis the ontology which supports all economic thought, however astonishing it may be. It is ultimately the opening of the economy to its outside, the breaking of the circle of exchange, the gift as it is thematized by Levinas, which constitutes the most relevant angle to approach retirements, of which the issue is justice before sovereignty. </description>
