L'inventaire des émissions atmosphériques franco-allemand pour la Communauté urbaine de Strasbourg et l'arrondissement de l'Ortenau (Kehl Offenburg)

In the frame of the air quality keeping programme of the transborder region of Strasbourg (Fr)-Kehl-Offenburg (Germ.), an atmospheric emission inventory of the major pollutants (SO₂ NO_x, VOC, CO, HCI and dust) has been realised, with a spatial resolution of 1 km² on an area of 610 km². This area is a very sensitive region on the point of view of the atmospheric pollution. This is due to peculiar geographical situation (in the middle of the upper Rhine valley) which often lead to smog episodes under anticyclonic weather conditions. This inventory, in relation with immissions measurements will allow first, to settle the diagnostic of the air quality of this high urbanized area, and secondly will be able to be used to perform and to improve different mesoscale models to simulate the tropospheric physical-chemistry, according to both climatological and physical-chemical parameters for specific synoptic weather conditions. This purpose of this communication is to describe the different steps of the settlement of this common french-german emission inventory, the used methodologies (including data sources and the emission factors) and to describe the results obtained.
