Davanti alla letteratura, fuori dalla morte

This essay, titled Before the literature, outside the death, aims to examine the relation between writing and death in Blanchot’s thought. Through the analysis of Kafka’s novels, tales, diaries and letters, Blanchot gains a peculiar conception of the figure of the writer. Kafka becomes the paradigm of this interpretation, which leads to discover the revolutionary power of literature by redefining both the idea of death and the notion of writing.
