L’infini de Bruno, la dépense pure de Bataille et l’effondrement selon la collapsologie

This article presents the perception of the universe from the point of view of the Renaissance period as represented by Giordano Bruno’s thought, modern philosophy between the two Great Wars represented by Georges Bataille’s writings and the affirmations of contemporary thought of collapsology by Pablo Servigne and Raphaël Stevens. The infinite universe of Bruno and Bataille’s notion of expenditure form the basis of this article, which presents the idea of collapse based on scientific and philosophical arguments such as exponential growth, management and economy of natural resources.
