      <title>Diviser pour mieux régner</title>
      <link>https://www.peren-revues.fr/revue-k/1132</link>
<description>This paper focuses on the distinction made by Walter Benjamin between the gures of “the winner” and “the vanquished”. What does this distinction imply in practical and political terms? In this respect, the case of Mayotte's relationship to the other islands of the archipelago seems to us quite eye-opening in that today, a deepening rift divides the Mahorans who claim a fantasized “mahorité” – a postcolonial and traditional culture centered around the Mahoran community – and the inhabitants of the Comoros. This division can only play into the hands of neo-colonialists. </description>
