The protagonist’s personal events trace the history of the United States. On one hand the tv show places historical facts side by side with surreal cataclysms, on the other it gives a form to the collective feeling of injustice and invisibility at the origin of recent movements such as Black Lives Matter. This essay will focus on the journey of the protagonist as a journey through the racist history of the USA and on the destituent operations that the series carries out in relation to gender and bodies, founding myths and institutions.
