She will be drenched with pitiful tears

The most vivid images of Jeanne d’Arc demonstrate a girl who cried a lot, for her own people as well as for her enemies, who were suffering from the war she was inciting again, a war that served to liberate the oppressed, her people. This contribution attempts to situate her tears theologically in the context of the gift of tears. The tears she actually shed, especially on the day of her death, initiated a politics of tears that did not make her a saint, but a model of humanity until today.

David du film A.I. : un Pinocchio des temps modernes

This work aims to show that there are some similarities between the characters of Carlo Collodi’s fairy tale Pinocchio and Spielsberg’s film Artifical Intelligence. Indeed, the two protagonists are strange beings wishing to become real humans. However, this work also shows that David is a modern Pinocchio since he is an industrial product manufactured to be programmed. He will never become a human, neither will wake up in a human world.

Échapper au territoire de l'homme

The quests pursued by Kafka's narrators are true investigations in which they engage with their whole body. In "Investigations of a Dog" or "The Burrow", we follow, from the inside, mutations as much behavioural as psychological and reflexive, generated by the relation to a fantasized otherness. In the same movement, Kafka also seems to describe, from the outside, a humanity whose moral foundations are shaking and whose specificity is becoming more and more uncertain. Precisely, provoking this disorder is also the aim of the Russian artist Oleg Kulik, who, by adopting the point of view of a dog offers the image of a strange and yet familiar bestiality to an unsettled public.
