Resistenza repulsiva. Comunicazione indiretta e destituzione del soggetto in Kierkegaard

This essay examines Kierkegaard’s indirect communication as a destitution of the subject. Through pseudonymous multiplication and the figure of the spy, it shows how even “S. Kierkegaard” functions as a pseudonym. The temporal paradox of writing – one cannot begin nor finish – reveals subjectivity’s structural instability. Adorno’s materialist reading exposes this as alienated interiority. The analysis concludes with Bernhard’s Correction, where catastrophic collapse replaces redemptive possibility.

Verso Jane Avril

The article proposes some possible approaches to the figure of Jane Avril, starting from some of Walter Benjamin’s categories. An interpretation based on Benjamin’s theory of language is proposed for the gesture of dance that gives Jane Avril her name. Although Benjamin’s reference to the Paris in which Jane Avril performs remains crucial, the key to the reading suggested here refers above all to concepts such as “Entsetzen”, “pure mediality”, “mimesis” and “shame”, to explore if and how Jane Avril’s “language” is related to a possible theory of “destituent potentiality”.

Sopravvivenza e catastrofe

The paper questions the paradoxical political significance of the figure of the Chaplinesque tramp; in particular, it hypothesises that this significance can be approached from a reading of "Modern Times", starting from certain central aesthetic-political categories elaborated by Walter Benjamin from the 1930s onwards. To this end, an attempt will be made to understand if and how Chaplin’s use of (cinematic) images manages to elude the phantasmagorical universe of the society of “advanced capitalism”.
