Rights and licensing

Open access

At no cost to the reader, Eugesta supports the principles of open access. Free of charge and exclusively online, the journal promotes the policy of open access and open science. Published articles are therefore accessible without delay and without constraints.”

Articles are published under a CC BY license (Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License).

Under the following terms:

  • BY – Attribution — You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.

  • No additional restrictions — You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the license permits.

According to the Article 533-4 of the French Research Code, and with conditions even more supportive of the dissemination of research, the authors are allowed to deposit the PDF published version of their papers, that is the version of the paper as it has been published by the journal, with no delay after the publication, in an institutional repository (a public, long-term and free access repository, on which the deposit does not result in a copyright transfer).  The author is required to attribute the same CC BY license as the publisher does in the journal.

Academic social networks (Academia.edu, Researchgate, …) are not regarded as institutional repositories: the deposit must be made in a public repository (HAL, university repository), mainly for long-term access, with a possible link from the social network towards the institutional repository.

Furthermore, as soon as authors are notified by the editors-in-chief that their papers have been accepted by the reviewers, they must sign with the publisher a non-exclusive copyright assignment contract on the contribution published in the journal.

All published articles will be provided with a DOI, thus respecting the criteria of accessibility and durability of scientific content. (cf. Criteria of exemplarity of the Committee for Open Science)
