    Résumé

    This essay presents an analysis, carried out through key selected lemmata, of the effects of Marilyn Monroe’s presence in the photographs of Bert Stern. The aim is to highlight the ambivalent relation between brightness, tragic disposition and the intimately dispossessing quality of her portrayed body.
