Résumé
This paper aims at bringing to light the role of Giordano Bruno and coincidentia oppositorum in Finnegans Wake. It discusses a number of issues regarding Bruno’s influence on Joyce, the dialogue sketch of “Muta & Juva”, Ulyssean “parallax” seen as a decentering device, the invention of an infinite language as a consequence of the revolt of the Joycean artifex, and the shadowy presence of Bruno’s Eroici Furori in the textual “dislocutions” of the Wake.
