Ambivalenza comica e riflessione etico-politica in Giordano Bruno

The purpose of this paper is re-reading the role played by ethical-politic reflection in Giordano Bruno’s works through the features of comic language. The object of the analysis is the famous Bruno’s comedy Candelaio, considered as a foretaste of the most important tasks of Bruno’s philosophy. The concept of comic is considered, by Freud’s and Bachtin’s point of view, as a language marked by contradiction and ambiguity, such as the new universe described by the philosopher.
