Una questione totale
Spartaco fra istituzioni e immaginario

Résumé
The revolt of Spartacus establishes itself as being in an army and it is able to prevail over the Romans on many fronts so that, although eventually defeated, it opens deep gashes in the consolidated imaginary of the Republic. The attempt of this paper is to think of these events as a response to the profound crisis of the institutions at that time, whose scope is still able to propose thinkable alternatives when any political hypothesis seems to be relegated to the impossible.
